Theoretical Physicists, Michio Kaku discusses the possibility of Force Fields in his latest book, Physics of the Impossible. Force Fields are "physically impossible" according to the text books, but Kaku thinks differently. Kaku believes that Force Fields can be possible in the future, about 100 years in the future. The Physicist states that plasma would be the ideal form of matter to manipulate. "Because the atoms of a plasma are ripped apart, with electrons torn off the atom, the atoms are electrically charged and can be easily manipulated by electric and magnetic fields."(Kaku16), says Kaku. This means that not with our technology, but with the technology of future generations we could in fact create Force Fields. Michio Kaku states, . "When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong"(10).

Force Fields have long been apart of the human imagination, and have been classified as physically impossible. Impossible, or a mere engineering problem? I think Michio Kaku's theory is correct. Scientists 100 years ago said that lasers, rockets, and airplanes were not possible ever, and that radio would be useless. Our technology will advance in the coming decades, and by then we shall, again, prove that most impossible physics are indeed possible.
